Making progress
I've been making slow progress on a couple WIPs this week. Finals are coming up, so not a lot of knitting going on here.
I have been making good progress on the Mountain Stream Scarf. A repeat takes just over 20 minutes now, so it makes a good study break. I'm shooting for 30 repeats total, so just 10 to go!
I still have plenty of yarn left. I could probably even make two of these out of one hank of the handpaintedyarn.com lace weight. I love this color too. It's very subtly variegated, maybe that will show up in a sunlight finished object shot.
The other thing I've been working on lately is a plain ribbed sock for my mom. The yarn is Opal, and I'm actually getting the pair to match.
I'm doing an afterthought heel, since I think that looks best with self patterning yarn. I'll take pictures of how I I do an afterthought heel to show you all, when I get to that point.
P.S. How do you like the new blog? I'm excited about it - it's pretty stripped down right now, but I love the categories, and being able to directly respond to comments. If you have a link to my old blog up on your blog or website I'd really appreciate it if you could change the link to this one. Thanks guys!
