My socks, let me show you them

Finished the Silke socks, and (I think) improved my ability to take pictures of my own feet.

Silke Socks

Yarn: Socks that Rock Silke (85% wool, 15% silk). This is the same base as Lorna's Laces DK Swirl, as far as I can tell. It's really nice, but a bit splitty. The color is the April sock club colorway. It's nice in a plain sock, way too busy for the pattern it came with.
Needles: Inox gray 2.75mm DPNs
Pattern: My generic sock pattern, 64 stitches, 1x1 ribbing at the cuff, round heel, wedge toe.

I also made some progress on the Scroll Lace socks. Working on the heel now. I made the leg shorter than R suggested in the pattern, because the stitch pattern is so inflexible. This takes it to the point where my calf starts to widen.

Scroll Lace progress

And, I resurrected a project that I don't think has appeared here yet. A narrower scarf width Clapotis in Malabrigo. This yarn is so incredibly soft. It's going to pill like crazy I'm sure, but that's the price one pays for the softest wool ever around one's neck. I'm about 2/3 done with this.

I forgot to get a picture of my other project in progress, SG's Chicago Bears socks. They'll be a WIP for a while though, as I'm only working on them during televised Bears games.

I'm back in the swing of things! Be back soon with more WIPs and maybe even another FO.

I think you have, too. Nice socks.

I made my Clapotis out of Malabrigo as well, but despite its OHHHHHH SOFFFFFTness, it ended up kind of short and stumpy, esp. since the Malabrigo was a little more fluffy than a typical worsted. I think your idea of a skinny Clapotis is a good one, though; if I had done that, maybe I would actually wear it :P (My DAD wears mine. Ooh la la.)

I had the same problem with my Malabrigo-esque Clapotis being a bit short and stubby (like myself I guess!)...Maybe I should block it to be longer, but I suspect it will spring back to its current size. I like the idea of a thinner one - then I might actually wear it, especially because thinner=longer with the same amount of yarn!
PS: Great socks!

P.S. You've made this before, right? So you know you have to lengthen it in the middle, and not just add rows on to the end (because of the f'ing 108 rows of decreasing), right? That drove me up the WALL. There's no way I was ripping all that way back to lengthen.
