A Change in the Weather
So, it's been a while. I knit some over the summer, but mostly secret baby surprises for knitting friends, so those FOs must remain hidden for a bit longer. Now that it's cooling down (barely), I've picked up the knitting again and made some progress.
First, a FO to share - SG's Chicago Bears socks. They were finished a few weeks ago, but made their debut for Sunday night Football.
The yarn is from seller YarnMagnet on Etsy, who does several sports teams colorways. I'm pretty happy with how the striping worked out, and I had just barely enough for size 13 socks. Luckily the Bears won on Sunday, so the socks are now lucky ;)
In other news, I finished all the pieces for my sister's sweater that got stalled out last winter, and started assembly.
If anyone has sources for small black buttons, please let me know.
I also got started on Christmas knitting, and am halfway through my mom's gift. After that, I need to make another pair of felted clogs for Dad, and I'll be all set for December. I'll be back soon with pictures of baby knits. One set is all ready to be given, so that's up first.

Fall is definitely for knitting. We really need to get together soon. Too bad I'm on call this weekend. Maybe next weekend?

I saw your post over on Sheri's Blog on the Loopy Ewe and I just wanted to say Yay for the Chargers. I'm a Chargers fan too, and I live in Denver, so I have to put up with all the Broncos fans. I was thinking about getting Hoofle Floofle and either In the Navy or Mid Summers Night (for their throwback jerseys) from Blue Moon Fiber Arts for socks for them.

Try MJTrims.com for the buttons. They have a nice button selection.
